We at Nottely ("App," "We," "Us") respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered voice note application.
1. Data Collection and Use
We adhere to the principle of data minimization. We only collect what is necessary.
A. Personal Data (Cloud Synced)
To provide cross-device synchronization and AI features, the following data is processed and stored on our secure servers (Supabase):
- Audio Recordings: Uploaded temporarily to process transcriptions.
- Transcriptions & Summaries: Stored securely so you can access your notes.
- User Identifier: A unique anonymous ID (
firebase_uid) assigned via Firebase Auth. We do not require email/password registration for basic use.
B. Local Data (On-Device Only)
- Chat History: Your conversations with the "AI Chat" feature regarding your notes are stored locally on your device (using Hive). This data is NEVER uploaded to our cloud servers. If you delete the App, this data is lost.
C. Technical Data
- Device Info: Model, OS version, and locale (via Firebase).
- Crash Logs: Anonymous reports to help us fix bugs.
- Purchase History: Subscription status managed via RevenueCat.
2. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the App:

Note on AI Training: We do not allow our third-party AI partners (AssemblyAI/OpenAI) to use your data to train their general models.
3. Data Retention and Deletion Rights
- Retention: We keep your notes on Supabase as long as your account exists.
- Account Deletion: You have the absolute right to delete your data.
- How: Go to Settings > Delete Account in the App.
- Effect: This action permanently wipes your User ID, Audio Files, and Database Records from Supabase and Firebase. This cannot be undone.
4. Security
We use industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit. Our database is protected by Row Level Security (RLS), ensuring that your firebase_uid can only access your own data.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. International Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state or country (e.g., servers in the US or EU) where the data protection laws may differ.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
